We collect the information you give us through contact and inquiry forms, information submitted as part of executive search, go-to-market consulting, or pipeline engineering work, and basic analytics about how visitors use the Sebastian Group website. We do not sell your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Sebastian Group LLC (“Sebastian Group LLC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the Sebastian Group website (the “Site”) and the executive search, go-to-market (“GTM”) consulting, and pipeline engineering services we provide (collectively, the “Services”). This Policy applies to visitors, prospective and current clients, candidates, and other individuals who interact with the Site or the Services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact and inquiry information: name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and the content of any message you send us through a contact, inquiry, or consultation request form.
  • Candidate and executive search information: if you submit a resume, curriculum vitae, LinkedIn profile, or other career information to us, whether as a prospective candidate or on behalf of a client, we collect the information contained in those materials, which may include employment history, education, compensation expectations, references, and similar professional details.
  • Client and engagement information: information provided in connection with GTM consulting or pipeline engineering engagements, including business contact details and information you choose to share about your organization's operations, to the extent necessary to perform the Services.
  • Newsletter or mailing list sign-up information, if offered on the Site.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our analytics service provider(s) automatically collect certain information through cookies and similar technologies, including IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent on pages, referring and exit URLs, and general location information (such as city or region) inferred from your IP address. 2.3 Information From Other Sources

We may also receive information about you from third parties, such as professional networking platforms (e.g., LinkedIn), publicly available professional profiles, referrals from colleagues or business contacts, and, in the executive search context, from client companies or other recruiters who submit candidate information to us.

3. How We Use Information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide the Services you or your organization request.
  • To evaluate, present, and place candidates in connection with executive search engagements.
  • To deliver GTM consulting and pipeline engineering work product to clients.
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
  • To understand how visitors use the Site through aggregate analytics.
  • To send administrative communications and, where you have opted in, newsletters or marketing updates.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Visitors)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal information on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, for analytics cookies or newsletter sign-ups, where required); the necessity of processing to take steps at your request prior to, or to perform, a contract with you or your organization; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Site and Services, provided those interests are not outweighed by your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How We Share Information

  • Service providers: hosting providers, analytics providers, email and communications tools, and other vendors who process information on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • Clients: in connection with executive search engagements, candidate information is shared with the client organization(s) considering that candidate.
  • Legal and safety: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sebastian Group LLC, our clients, candidates, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes without your consent.

6. International Data Transfers

Sebastian Group LLC is based in the United States, and the Site is primarily directed to a U.S. audience, though it may be accessed by visitors, candidates, and clients in Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere. If you access the Site or Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your home jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for such transfers.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business records, comply with legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Candidate information submitted in connection with executive search engagements may be retained to consider candidates for future, related opportunities unless you ask us to delete it.

8. Your Privacy Rights

8.1 California Residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, “CCPA”), gives you the right to request access to, deletion of, and correction of personal information we hold about you, and the right to know the categories of personal information collected, used, and disclosed. We do not sell or “share” (as defined under the CCPA) personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12.

8.2 Other U.S. State Residents

Depending on your state of residence, you may have similar rights under other U.S. state privacy laws. We will honor valid requests consistent with applicable law.

8.3 EEA / UK Residents

If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction on the processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, to request data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site and Services are directed to business professionals and are not intended for, and are not knowingly directed to, children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page, and where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
